Sam Walker on Lake Okeechobee

Met up with my old friend Sam Walker on Lake Okeechobee.  Sam and his wife Luan run and own Sugar Realty in Clewiston. I know them both since we first came here looking for a home in Florida.  We launched the boat at the sportsmans ramp and proceeded out to one of my old fishing spots that I had fished last November.  The place was like a parking lot with boats,  but we had no luck.  I intended ringing my good buddie Dave Miller (a Professional Guide) and  friend that would have put us on some good spots.  To my disapointment when I reached for my cell I realised that I had left it in my truck.  We proceeded to work the edges and in the end we caught five bass and had several misses.  Considering the day we did ok, Sam updated me on some of his fishing trips to Palm Beach and days he spent with his brother hunting gators.  On our way back to the ramp I took a picture of this awsome gator sunning himself on the bank.
